A local woman was taken into custody on Nov. 20 by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office and charged with arson following an investigation into a recent structure fire at a county residence.
The fire incident led to a prompt response from fire-rescue crews, and subsequent investigation by law enforcement determined the fire was intentionally set, according to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO).
While authorities have been discreet with the specifics of the case as the investigation remains active, an official confirmed the arrest to local news media. The individual, identified as a Nassau County resident, is currently being held on an arson charge.
