During the June 29 meeting, the committee presented the initial draft of the Data Center Definitions, Goals and Regulatory Oversight Table, the release said. The draft is now available for public review and residents are encouraged to submit comments through Aug. 1.

The release also thanked the hundreds of residents, presenters, stakeholders and fact-finding committee members who have contributed to the process. Their participation is helping shape the county’s understanding of data center development and future policy considerations, according to the board.

The process is not over, the release said. Additional work remains ahead, including site visits, refinement of committee goals, development of objectives and strategies, and preparation of a draft report for the Board of County Commissioners. There will be many more opportunities for public involvement before any recommendations are considered by the board, the release noted.

Residents can review the draft, watch meeting videos, submit comments and stay up to date by visiting nassaufl.co/DataCenters-FactFinding, according to the release.
