The Nassau County Professional Firefighters Union presented a check for one thousand dollars to Imagine Nassau to help animals in Nassau Shelters at the Board of County Commissioners meeting Monday.
Union President Wes Dill presented the check to Jackie Osborne who accepted in on behalf of Nassau Animal services. We’re donating to help the animals out, Dill said.
“Your local firefighters not only believe in service to the great citizens of this county, but every pet deserves to be given a chance. This donation will go towards shelter, food, medical, and other needs for Nassau pets,” Nassau County Fire Rescue wrote in a facebook post.
Osborne expressed her appreciation for the donation.
Imagine Nassau provides funding, program and operational support to animal services, fire rescue, parks and recreation, and conservation land management. Their mission is to elevate public services that benefit the residents and animals of Nassau County.
