Nassau Council of Arts and Culture announced a reorganization to support recent growth and prepare for future expansion, according to a recent release.
The new structure is designed to enhance operational efficiency and expand the organization’s ability to achieve its mission, the release said.
The board recognized Richard Restiano’s contributions and achievements to the arts in the community, according to the release. Restiano announced his retirement as CEO of NCAC.
Restiano founded the Nassau Council of Arts and Culture with the vision of bringing the arts to everyone in Nassau County, according to the release. Under his leadership, the organization has hosted two countywide Art Forums, participated in local arts festivals and is now receiving grant requests from individual artists and art organizations, the release said.
“Richard’s contributions have been foundational to our success. He had the vision for this organization, instilling a powerful mission that will continue to guide us,” Board Chair Becky Grimes said.
“This reorganization is a testament to the incredible growth we’ve experienced, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and the community,” Grimes said. “It is a proactive step to ensure we are positioned for sustainable success and can continue to make a meaningful impact for years to come.”
