The Nassau County Council on Aging is inviting residents to honor loved ones this holiday season through its Legacy Pavers Program, which raises funds for programs serving older adults.
The engraved pavers will be installed at the Janice Ancrum Senior Life Center, creating permanent tributes while supporting vital senior services.
“This time of year is all about reflection, gratitude, and giving,” said Janice Ancrum, CEO of the Nassau County Council on Aging, in a recent release. “Our Legacy Pavers allow families and friends to create a heartfelt tribute honoring someone dear, living or remembered, while helping ensure that vital programs for older adults continue to thrive in our community. It’s truly a gift that gives back.”
The pavers can celebrate someone special, commemorate a milestone or recognize a contribution. Each becomes a permanent part of the center’s grounds.
“This is the perfect time to give a gift that lasts forever,” Ancrum said. “A Legacy Paver is more than a stone; it’s a story, a symbol, and a way to be a part of something greater.”
Proceeds support NCCOA’s mission to enhance the lives of older adults through services designed to improve health, independence and economic security for Nassau County seniors and their families.
