The Pirates are back-to-back district champs. The Fernandina Beach High School boys golf team captured the District 3-2A title after firing a 294 on Monday at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club. The FBHS Pirates beat Bishop Kenny (313), Yulee (344), West Nassau (352) and Stanton (356) en route to their second district title in a row.

FBHS junior Colson Hale is district medalist. He was one under par with a 71. Freshman Sam Chenoweth shot a 73 for second, and senior Brady Steffen posted a 74 for third. Juniors Jake Chenoweth and Hudson Dye tied for fifth place with 76s.

“Super proud of my boys,” said Christina Steffen, head coach for the boys and girls golf teams at FBHS. “Now on to regional and hope for a spot to state.”

The region tournament is Nov. 4 at Fleming Island.
