Nine Nassau County schools earn state’s School of Excellence designation

Nine schools in Nassau County have been named Schools of Excellence by the Florida Department of Education for the 2024-2025 school year, said a recent release from the Nassau County School District.

The state board of education names a school a School of Excellence if it scores in the top 20% compared to other schools of the same grade level. In Florida, schools recognized as excellent receive public recognition for maintaining high student achievement or showing significant progress.

The Nassau County schools earning the distinction are Bryceville Elementary, Callahan Intermediate, Callahan Middle, Emma Love Hardee, Fernandina Beach High, Fernandina Beach Middle, Hilliard Elementary, Yulee Elementary and Yulee Middle.
