The Nassau County Chamber of Commerce has named Alexandra Wilmer as its new president and chief executive officer.

Wilmer has been with the chamber for nearly eight years and has served in multiple roles, including communications and marketing coordinator and, most recently, director of operations. Officials said she brings institutional knowledge, strong community relationships and a vision for the organization’s next phase.
She has played a key role in strengthening connections across Nassau County’s business community, according to the chamber.
“Alex has demonstrated unwavering commitment to our Chamber and the community it serves,” said Dunia Taylor, chairman of the board and broker/owner of REMI Realty. “Her leadership, dedication and understanding of the Nassau County business community make her the right person to guide us forward.”
Wilmer will be supported by the chamber’s board of directors, which officials described as engaged and aligned in advancing the organization’s mission.
In her new role, Wilmer will focus on building partnerships, expanding outreach to businesses across the county and implementing strategic improvements to better serve members and the broader community.
“I’m honored to step into this role and continue serving a community I care so deeply about,” Wilmer said. “Nassau County is home to exceptional businesses that make our community strong, distinctive and resilient, and I’m passionate about supporting their continued success.”
She said the chamber has a strong foundation and significant opportunity for growth.
Chamber officials said the organization is positioned to build on its momentum under Wilmer’s leadership and expand its impact in the coming years.
