Thanksgiving raffle set for Nov. 28
The Elm Street Sportsman Association is holding a Thanksgiving raffle, and tickets are $10. Prizes will be given away at noon on Friday, Nov. 28, at the MLK Center.

First prize is a 50-inch television, the second prize is an electric turkey fryer, and the third-prize ticket holder wins a gift certificate for Bo & Mike’s Detail Shop.

The prizes for fourth through 10th are pretty sweet, too. They’re all cakes. Pound cake. Rum cake. Yum.

You don’t have to be present to win. Purchase tickets from an ESSA member, or give Wayne Peterson (753-1663) or Jimmy Southers (556-7064) a call.

Soccer raffle
Amelia Island Youth Soccer held a fall raffle, and thanks to a generous community, the club raised $1,300, which it will invest in improvements, “helping us enhance the player experience and continue growing youth soccer here in Nassau County,” according to a social media post.

The two winners have been contacted.

FBMS food giveaway
This holiday season, Fernandina Beach Middle School is taking care of its own. FBMS families and students are welcome to pick up non-perishable food items during Friday’s giveaway.

Thanksgiving packs will be handed out during seventh period. Sign up by scanning the QR code.

Charity baseball game
The teams are filled, but you can still come out to the ballpark and support local youth. Fernandina Beach Babe Ruth is hosting an adult charity baseball game on Jan. 10. The fun starts at 10 a.m. at Buccaneer Field, 1201 Beech St.
