Skaters and spectators of all ages filled Poe Pinson Skate Park on Saturday for the ninth annual Terry Kelly Skate Jam.
Wheels of every kind spun through the park — skateboards, scooters and even a unicycle — as cheers carried across the concrete. From bleachers and beach chairs, onlookers watched riders grind rails, drop into ramps and test their tricks.
The park buzzed as the divisions wrapped up and champions were crowned. Coco Waldo took the Best of the Best title, while Quinn Johnston dialed in run after run to claim Advanced. Over in Intermediate, Kai Nichols kept the momentum alive with a first-place finish, and in Beginner, Goldie Waldo skated away with the win. Dylan Russo sealed the Best Trick award with a show-stopping move.
As the sun set, the skate jam was followed by live music and celebration.
