Nassau Commissioners to select 2026 Leadership at annual re-organizational meeting

Staff report

The Nassau County Board of County Commissioners will convene next week for a pivotal session to establish its leadership structure for the upcoming year.

The board is scheduled to hold its annual re-organizational meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, at 3 p.m. inside the James S. Page Governmental Complex, located at 96135 Nassau Place, Yulee, FL 32097.

Per annual tradition, the primary agenda item will be the selection of the chairman and vice-chairman for the 2026 calendar year. These roles are critical to the county’s governance, as the selected commissioners will guide the board’s direction, assist in setting legislative priorities, and ensure continuity in services provided to the community.

Currently, the Board is led by Chairman A.M. “Hupp” Huppmann (District 2) and Vice-Chairman Jeff Gray (District 3). The five-member body also includes:

  • John F. Martin (District 1)
  • Alyson R. McCullough (District 4)
  • Klynt A. Farmer (District 5)

County officials emphasize that the meeting serves as more than a procedural formality; it underscores the county’s commitment to transparency and accountability. Residents are welcome to attend the proceedings at the complex to witness the transition of leadership firsthand.

For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will be available to watch online via the official Nassau County website at www.nassaucountyfl.com.

Following the adjournment of the meeting, the county is expected to formally announce the newly appointed 2026 leadership team.
