The Pirate softball team snapped a losing streak Monday, with a 21-0 shutout over host Eagle’s View. The game ended after three innings, thanks to the mercy rule.

Fernandina Beach High School is now 2-4. The Pirates opened the season with a win, but dropped four in a row, including losses to West Nassau and Bishop Kenny last week.
In Monday’s win, Makayla Boswell had a pair of hits and four RBIS, and Brooke Agnew (two RBIs), Adriana Lavoie (triple and three RBIs) and Reese Hardeman (double and three RBIs) had one hit apiece. Vivienna Lavoie scored three runs.
Hardeman stole three bases, Adriana Lavoie and Rylee Murallo stole two each, and Boswell and Kacey Stewart had a stolen base apiece.
Stewart was the winning pitcher. She struck out three in three innings.
