Barnabas Center is accepting nominations for its fifth annual Hometown Heroes Fashion Show, set for Feb. 23, 2026, the organization announced recently.

This year’s theme, “Celebrating Believers in Our Youth,” will honor individuals who dedicate their time and talents to shaping brighter futures for Nassau County’s children and teens, according to the release.
The center invites the community to nominate coaches, tutors, educators, mentors, caregivers, advocates and neighbors whose work makes a lasting difference in the lives of local youth.
“Behind every thriving young person is someone who believes in them,” said Jamie Reynolds, Barnabas Center President and CEO, in the release. “Through Hometown Heroes, we shine a spotlight on the extraordinary individuals who often go unnoticed but have a profound impact on our children’s lives and the future of our community.”
The nomination deadline is Oct. 31. Nominations must be submitted using the official form available at barnabasnassau.org/hometown-heroes-fashion-show/ and emailed to PThompson@barnabasnassau.org.
Chosen honorees will be recognized during the fashion show, a signature fundraising event that celebrates community service.
