A former Yulee Little League president was arrested Thursday on charges of theft and fraud after an investigation revealed more than $94,000 in alleged unauthorized use of league funds.

William Harold Reynolds III, 39, was booked into the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center on a bond exceeding $30,000, according to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation began in May when the league’s vice president contacted authorities after the board discovered financial irregularities. Investigators found Reynolds allegedly used the league’s debit card for unauthorized personal purchases totaling more than $94,000 since January 1, 2024.

According to the sheriff’s office, notable unauthorized purchases included nearly $13,000 for Amazon and Prime Video, more than $3,000 at gas stations, and more than $4,000 at restaurants.

“It’s shameful to steal from children,” Sheriff Bill Leeper said. “Little leagues help make kids’ dreams a reality. I want to thank the Yulee Little League Board members, as well as our investigators for working diligently to obtain and search records in order to arrest this individual.”

In a statement released following the arrest, the Yulee Little League Board of Directors said they are cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation.

“We will continue to direct all questions related to the investigation to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, as this remains an active and ongoing matter,” the board stated. “We have provided all information in our possession to assist in that process.”

The board emphasized their commitment to the community, noting that “this community loves its ballpark—and so does each member of the board.”
